Wake Up Fresh And Relaxed - Avoid Being Tired In The Morning

Most people hate to have to wake up early in the morning, however this is a necessity for most of us. We have to take the kids to school, we have commute to work to the other end of the city - or maybe to another town, or we need to travel for work. However there are some tips that you can follow to wake up easily the next day and feel rested and relaxed as well.

The first thing you need to do is set your alarm. If you have a loud alarm clock, it's great because the shrill noise will wake you up for sure.

SONIC BOOM EFFECT

Alternatively you might want to get one of those funny alarm gadgets that are so popular nowadays that jump off the nightstand when the alarm goes off. This pushes you to actually get up from the bed in order to stop it.

Or you can simply leave the blinds or curtains open so that the first rays of sun will go right to your eyes and wake you up the natural way. When you wake up to the ray of sun, it is a more natural feeling than waking up in the dark. The dark only pushes us back to sleep and sadly many of us give in and oversleep.

Make sure that you have a comfy bed to sleep in. If your bed is uncomfortable, you will get pain all over your body and this will make you cranky. After all waking up in the morning is only the half won battle. The rest is to get up in a good mood so you really start your day the positive way.

We all need enough sleep so we are well rested when we wake up. This is why it is important to go to sleep early. Not as early as 8 pm as nobody can sleep at that time, but latest at 10 or 11 you should be in bed trying to sleep. And moreover, if you make this a regular routine, it will turn into a habit that your body will start to follow on a regular basis. After all the body craves routine so you won't have a problem of sleeping early after a few false attempts.

Of course nobody likes waking up the next day especially early in the morning, but if we have to, at least let's make it as painless as possible and as productive and fun as possible!

Wake Up Early In The Morning - Your Best Guide

It is really hard to force yourself to get up the bed each morning especially when you still like to sleep. Sometimes you do not have a choice but to forcefully wake up due to the fact that there are a lot of things that you have to accomplish. You need to have a guide in waking up early in the morning to make it easier.

HAVE AN ALARM CLOCK

SONIC BOOM EFFECT

One of the most important things that you need to have is an alarm clock. You need to have this for you to hear a sound that signals you to be awake. It will help you in instilling discipline towards yourself. There are a lot of designs nowadays. There are a lot of choices that you can make. Just make sure that the sound is audible enough for you.

WATER THERAPY

Some people suggest that you drink water before you go to bed so that you will accumulate more urine in the morning. This is such a good way to force yourself to stand up and wake up. Just make sure that you will only drink enough amount and will not force you to wake up at 3 AM. Drink at least one glass of water.

PREPARE THE NIGHT BEFORE

Make sure that you are able to prepare yourself for the next day before you go to sleep. Prepare the things that you need like clothes, bags, shoes and a lot more. Keep in mind that you will not be able to do them all in the morning.

HAVE A ROUTINE

One of the most important things that you need is routine. A routine will help your body clock to adjust with your daily activities. This will help you get used to the things that you do every day. If you have mastered the routine already, you will never use anything just to wake you up since your body will be the one who will wake you up.

There are some things that you must keep in mind if you want to wake up early in the morning. It is very important for you to do the things that you need to do for the day. Try to remember the tips mentioned for you to have a guide.

Avoid Back-to-School Morning Battles - Tips on Getting Your Kids Out of Bed

Is this your typical morning "wake up kids" dialog?

"Well, aren't you on the ball today! Holy moley, you're dressed already. What a great kid." (smiles, whistling, high fives ensue) If it is, then read no further and congratulations.

SONIC BOOM EFFECT

If it's more like this...

Time to wake up! Sweetie, get up... Get up, please. C'mon now, up, up, up. You're going to be late for school.... (5 minutes later) Don't make me come in there. Get...up...NOW.

Do you really need that? Every. Single. Morning. No one does. It's not only stressful on moms & dads, but consider how little miss cranky bottom's day goes when it starts with a yelling match.

Here are tips on how to wake up your heavy sleeper with less fuss:

Bedtime:

1. First, get them to bed at a decent hour so they get enough sleep. According to the National Sleep Foundation, 3 - 5 year olds need 11 to 13 hours per day, 5 - 12 year olds need 9 - 11 hours per day and after 12 years old we're looking at about 8 ½ to 9 ½ hours a day, although late teens require a little more, even if they aren't getting it.

2. There is always that bedtime/wake time adjustment when vacation hours turn to school hours. About a week before the big adjustment, start planning earlier morning activities that force them on track.

3. No matter how old your child is, get them into a consistent sleep schedule, even on weekends.

4. A bedtime routine is critical to good sleeping habits. Light snack, bath, PJs, brush teeth, read a story, make sure the room is quiet and comfortable, into bed, lights out, nighty night and you're out.

5. Make sure they know what time they are supposed to wake up. This helps them 'set' their natural alarm clock (circadian rhythm) to eventually wake up on their own, or at least start waking up closer to the appropriate time.

6. TV stays OFF at bedtime. They'll get a better night's sleep without the background noise. In fact (and I didn't know this until I found it on the National Sleep Foundation's site) even watching TV close to bedtime has been associated with bedtime resistance, difficulty falling asleep, sleep anxiety and sleeping fewer hours. They suggest keeping both the TV and the computer out of the bedroom completely.

7. Step them away from the Coke. Or anything else with caffeine in it.

Wake-up:

1. Make waking up fun! When they're little, put some pizazz in the morning routine. First turn on the light and, with a big smile, say, "Wake up, you silly goose!" or something equally endearing. Then, without waiting for a reaction, go directly into a made-up song, a goofy dance, a smothering of kisses or a gentle tickle. When their feet hit the floor, turn on their favorite music. If they are lollygaggers, then challenge them to a timed dressing session. Here's a good one... "If you're ready in xx minutes I'll let you pack your own lunch (or something else that needs doing, like laundry...kidding)". As every parent knows, bribery works too. Mix it up.

2. If you don't wake them yourself, the right alarm clock is KEY to getting off on the right foot. I recommend the Sonic Alert clocks that let them wake up to sounds, a shaking/vibrating bed, flashing lights or all three. For heavy sleepers, try the Sonic Bomb. There's even a heart shaped one called the Sonic Boom Sweetheart Alarm Clock for your little princess. There is something for everyone. I use the Sonic Shaker Portable Vibrating Travel Alarm at home and it gently vibrates my pillow when it's time to wake up. Perfect for those sensitive to noise.

3. No Snooze function is allowed. Never use it. Tape it up so it can't be used, whatever it takes. Snoozing just makes you more tired and grumpy.

4. If they tend to wake up and go right back to sleep, put the alarm clock on the other side of the room. They'll have to physically get out of bed to turn it off. Perhaps you put it on the bathroom counter, so they can start their day from there.

5. Let in the morning light. Don't make them wake up in a cave. It's tough when you're getting up before the sun comes up, but even a little bit of light helps.

Hopefully these tips can help you avoid the morning wake-up battles, and the whole family can get the day off to a great start.

Alarm Clocks to Help You Wake Up Every Morning

If there were no alarm clocks, a lot of people would miss out on the most important of their meetings, classes and appointments, and it would have been difficult to wake up on time. It is difficult to leave the cozy bed behind at the break of every dawn, for a day that has its own share of hard work and challenges waiting to be finished. Therefore, to get ready each morning and to be punctual, such a clock is a requirement for many and a life savior.

A clock using an alarm helps people wake up by giving out a ring every morning at the time which is selected by the user. In the past, most people used these clocks which had bells and were manually operated.

SONIC BOOM EFFECT

Radio Alarm Clocks

Currently, radio clocks have become quite popular and are widely used. They are considered to be a useful gadget as they enable one to wake up by nice music tunes instead of the ugly alarm tones which may not only wake people up but would annoy them to a great extent. They can also be used to listen to radio and for marking important appointments or meetings that might be in one's schedule. These either work on electricity or batteries and while using them you should make sure that they have a battery backup, so that they can continue to work even when power goes out.

Natural Alarm Clocks

As the name suggests, these work by using the natural sounds such as that of rainfall, waves in the ocean, or singing birds in order to wake people up. These sounds are highly pleasant and soothing to the ears of the person. Who wouldn't want to wake up listening to such beautiful sounds of nature? These would also result in a better mood of the person who has been woken up, and a good beginning of the day.

Battery Alarm Clocks

These are ideally meant for people who move around a lot, as they can take it along with them wherever they go. As they run on batteries, you do not have to look for a power supply; you can simply switch the old worn out batteries to the new ones, once they die. These are a simple and easy to use option that can be considered.

Vibrating Alarm Models

These clocks are especially meant for the places where a conventional type won't fit. For example, these can be used during examinations or in the library, where one cannot afford to make noise. As these will vibrate on the set time, they will fulfill their purpose and that too silently, without causing any disturbance.
